Dental Focus Month

Happy New Year from the Mission Ridge Animal Hospital Team!

Dental Season is starting January 15 to March 30!

We love our patients which is why we care so much about their health. A healthy pet has healthy teeth, so each year from February through March we pay special attention to the importance of dental care through our Dental Health Awareness Event. Since it gets to much attention – this year we are kicking things off early!

Many pet owners don’t realize that dental care in pets is just as important as it is in humans. In fact, according to the Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have periodontal disease by the age of three! Left untreated, harmful bacteria from the oral cavity can spread throughout the bloodstream to infect the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys – potentially impacting the health, happiness and lifespan of your pet.
