Dental Health Season at your St.Albert Vet!

Happy New Year from your Mission Ridge Veterinary Team!

We love our patients which is why we care so much about their health. A healthy pet has healthy teeth, so each year from February through March we pay special attention to the importance of dental care through our Dental Health Awareness Event.

Many pet owners don’t realize that dental care in pets is just as important as it is in humans. In fact, according to the Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have periodontal disease by the age of three! Left untreated, harmful bacteria from the oral cavity can spread throughout the bloodstream to infect the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys – potentially impacting the health, happiness and lifespan of your pet.

So what should you do?

Take steps today to protect your pet from periodontal disease. Join us during our Dental Health Awareness Event and we will check out your furry friend’s teeth, recommend a dental program that suits your pet’s needs, answer any questions you have, give you a demonstration on brushing (you get to keep the toothbrush!) and if necessary, discuss getting your pet’s teeth cleaned. As in previous years, Mission Ridge is pleased to offer the same services and programs in 2016 that inspired our clients to attain dental care for their pet in the past.

Call us at (780) 458-3833 to find out more about the benefits of our Dental Health Awareness Event. Call soon, as appointments are limited.
