I grew up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and moved to Edmonton in 2013. In 2017, I moved to Ireland where I remained until August 2020!I chose the veterinary field due to a love of animals that I’ve harbored from the age of 5. It has only gotten more intense as I’ve grown older and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!
I attended Lakeland College and graduated from their Veterinary Medical Assistant program in June 2016. The area of veterinary medicine that interests me the most is a toss up between surgery and large animals! I’ve always loved horses & cattle, and find surgery so fascinating.
The best part of my job is turning a scary situation into something positive. A visit to the vet can be stressful for some of our pets and nothing makes them feel better than some belly rubs and treats.
A fun fact about myself is that I can quote every word of the Harry Potter movies.
