I’ve spent most of my life in St. Albert and now live in Edmonton. I’ve wanted to work in this field since I was 8 years old and have never wanted to do anything else. After working in a clinic after high school, I went the vet tech route because I loved the diverse skill set techs receive and the many different areas they can work in.
I graduated from Lakeland college in 2018 and my interests in veterinary medicine include physical rehab, alternative medicine, behaviour and exotics.
What I enjoy most about my career is that no two days are the same. There’s always something new to learn and the industry is always expanding in trying to provide better care and education to pet owners and pet professionals. We literally never stop learning!
Growing up, I was surrounded by a variety of animals – dogs, cats, lovebirds, salamanders, corn snakes, fish, leopard geckos, and a tarantula.
